Dr. Feelgood
Dr. Feelgood was a British rock and roll band formed in 1964 by singer-songwriter and guitarist Wilko Johnson, bassist John "Spud" Winston, and drummer Pete Gage. With their raw energy and authentic blues-rock sound, they quickly gained popularity in the UK's pub rock circuit.
The band's most notable achievements include releasing three studio albums: Down by the Lazy River, Malpractice, and Sneakin' Suspicion. Their music often featured Johnson's distinctive vocals, sharp guitar playing, and Winston's pulsing bass lines. Dr. Feelgood's energetic live performances earned them a loyal fan base, with their unique blend of rockabilly, blues, and R&B.
Despite facing various lineup changes over the years, Wilko Johnson remained the driving force behind Dr. Feelgood until his retirement from music in 1980.
