Ella Fitzgerald (1917-1996) was a jazz singer often referred to as the "First Lady of Song." Her unique phrasing, tone, and impressive technical ability made her a beloved figure in the jazz world.
In addition to her incredible singing talent, Ella was also known for her kindness, humility, and generosity. She won 13 Grammy Awards during her lifetime and continued to perform until just before her death at age 78. Ella's legacy lives on through her music, which remains a testament to her enduring talent and the impact she had on generations of musicians and fans alike.
