Nico Vinyl Records
Nico was a German singer-songwriter and fashion icon who rose to fame in the 1960s as a member of the experimental rock band The Velvet Underground. Born Christa Päffgen on March 16, 1938, Nico's distinctive voice and enigmatic persona captivated audiences worldwide. Her music often explored themes of alienation, mortality, and existential crisis, reflecting her experiences as a war refugee and outsider in the art world.
Nico's solo career was marked by experimental collaborations with musicians like John Cale, Jimi Hendrix, and Brian Eno. Her albums "Chelsea Girl" (1967) and "Desertshore" (1970) are considered cult classics, featuring haunting renditions of songs like "These Dreams," "I'll Keep It in Mind," and "Janitor of Lunacy."
