The View Vinyl Records
With their unique blend of indie rock and post-punk revival, The View has been making waves in the music scene since their formation in 2005. Hailing from Dundee, Scotland, the five-piece band consists of Kyle Falconer (vocals), Pete Reilly (guitar), Simon Cavill (guitar), Dan Armstrong (bass), and Steven Morrison (drums). Their early work was marked by a raw, DIY aesthetic, but as they honed their craft, they began to incorporate more polished production values into their sound.
The View's breakthrough came with the release of their 2007 debut album, Hats Off to the Buskers. The record's lead single, "Sit Next to Me," became a Top 10 hit in the UK and set the stage for the band's subsequent success. Since then, they've released several critically acclaimed albums, including Traffic & Weather (2011) and Rave on Red (2013). Throughout their career, The View has been praised for their catchy hooks, energetic live performances, and unapologetically honest songwriting.
In addition to their music, The View is also known for their advocacy work. They've been vocal supporters of mental health awareness, LGBTQ+ rights, and social justice causes.
